The Kentlands Community Foundation, in partnership with the City of Gaithersburg, announces on-line registration beginning July 1, 2009 for the 16th annual 5K Race, set for Saturday, September 5. This USATF Certified 5K course winds through the award-winning and scenic New Urbanism neighborhoods of the Kentlands and Lakelands, featuring two water stops and live entertainment along the course. Not only is it the area’s largest 5K Race event, but the Race allows its charitable host, the Kentlands Community Foundation, to make a significant impact on the lives of local residents in need through its annual donation to local charities. As a nonprofit and philanthropic community-based organization, the Foundation has given nearly $100,000 back to the community since 1994. The 5K Race also serves as the opening event for Maryland’s annual Senior Olympics.
RACE REGISTRATION: Register on-line at www.kentlands.org for the 5K Run, Walk, Kids Fun Runs and Maryland Senior Olympic participants.
Participants can also register by downloading the form and mailing it to:
