Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division are investigating the death of a Gaithersburg man found on a walking path in Potomac.

At approximately 7:19 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, Fire/Rescue personnel and officers from the 1st District station responded for the report of a deceased male on a paved path in the 8300 block of Bells Mill Road. The victim has been identified as Ali Reza Zare, 57 years old, of the 15200 block of Apricot Lane in Gaithersburg.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances of Mr. Zare’s death. The investigation is continuing pending the results of an autopsy by the medical examiner.
