For Immediate Release June 9, 2009Gaithersburg, MD. The City of Gaithersburg has joined with Women Who Care Ministries and the Victims’ Rights Foundation to co-sponsor the 3rd Annual Domestic Violence Empowerment Luncheon on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will take place at the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg, 2 Montgomery Village Avenue (just off I-270 at the corner of Rt. 355 and Montgomery Village Avenue).
The event features a resource fair, a commemorative candlelight vigil, a panel discussion, poetry, vendors, and entertainment. Early registration is recommended as seating is limited and the event is expected to sell out. A special early bird rate of $25 per ticket is available if purchased before August 15. Afterwards the price will be $35 each. Tickets for children and senior citizens are available at $20 each.
The keynote address will be delivered by celebrity speaker Jewel Diamond Taylor. Her high-energy, inspirational keynotes meet the audience where they are and bring them to a place of healing and restoration. With over 25 years’ experience speaking for corporations and conferences, Taylor’s unique style of delivery provokes the heart of the listener to action.
