Veterans Day Observance at City Hall Concert Pavilion

Tomorrow afternoon, starting at 11 AM, the city of Gaithersburg invites everyone to come out and recognize military personal from Gaithersburg, as well as the rest of the nation. Held at City Hall Concert Pavilion, located at 31 South Summit Avenue in Olde Town Gaithersburg.

Members of various local veterans groups will be attending to honors the many that have served, and continue to serve in all 3 branches of the U.S. military. The local VFW will be collecting items to send overseas to the unit they have adopted, located in Afganistan. Rear Admiral Michael Brown of the Naval Sea Systems Command will be deliviring the keynote speech. Rear Admiral Brown has served a number of tours of duty on foreign soild and is currently the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cyber Security and Communications.
