13th Annual Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival Returns

The 2008 Winter Lights Festival will be returning to Seneca Creek State Park December 5th through January 3rd. If you’ve never gone to see thhe Winter Lights, I highly suggest you do, its a great outing for people and groups of all ages, and is perfect if you’ve got kids to entertain.

You can choose to drive through the 3.5 mile light display, or take the Open Air Trolley as usual. However, this year they are now giving families the opportunity to walk through on foot.

If you would like to make the walk through the park, you can only do so on Sunday, November 30 from 5 to 8 PM. Walkers should park at 9 West Watkins Mill Road just North of the BowlAmerica on Clopper rd, and you will be shuttled over to the park.

The cost is $12 for teens and adults over the age of 13. $5 for children 3 through 12, and kids under the age of 2 get in free.

For more information, see the official Winter Lights website.
